Fall 2015 Couture – Chanel

Definitely not Karl Lagerfeld’s strongest collection to date. I just want to get that out of my system before I talk about his clothes. Karl Lagerfeld took everyone into his dream casino for Chanel’s latest haute couture collection. And of course since its Karl’s dream, stars like Rinko Kikuchi, Kristen Stewart and Julian Moore overflowed the gambling tables in their custom frocks. Fall 2015 Couture – Christian Dior

Everyone fell in love with how Raf Simons deconstructed the infamous Dior coat sleeve. It was a sharp and modern turn for the brand who always delivers elegant coats on the runway. I guess it was the perfect time for Simons to inject his own DNA to the brand. The coats looked like a cape in some ways and offered a single sleeve. Sometimes the sleeve was made of fur but I love how it still maintained its elegance. Continue reading

Fall 2015 Couture – Atelier Versace

We are always used to our polished and edgy Versace girls so when Donatella described her latest Atelier Versace collection to showcase the softer side of her girls, everyone was excited. I’m especially anxious to see her latest move to rebrand Versace. Let’s face it, the company has been in decline and I thought welcoming Anthony Vaccarello to design for Versus would inspire her to do the same for the main brand. Continue reading

I know they are not my kind of style but I have been a recent Comme des Garçons Shirt fanatic. I thought I would draw the line on its Play collections, hoarding loads of them last year, but now I think I have upgraded. I find their shirts out of the norm and definitely a conversation starter.
